Happy Birthday Avree!

Happy Birthday to Avree! She turned 1 on the 27th. I can't believe it's been a year.

She's not a fan of sweet things. She hardly touched her birthday cake. I'm okay with that!

She loves this new toy I got her. As soon as she started walking around with it, she had the biggest smile on her face. She is crawling everywhere now and loves it. She's not very fast, so it's nice. She has been such a joy in our family. So sweet and an amazing baby. I could not have asked for such a better little one. We love you!

The Hunt

We had 3 Easter egg hunts this year. We first went to Gma and Gpa Harmons and found all the eggs that we dyed. Kaleb had a lot of fun while Avree watched. Sunday we had a little hunt at home and had a wonderful dinner with the Pilchers. They had an Easter egg hunt for the grand kids. Kaleb was so funny because he would see an egg, but if he didn't like the color he wouldn't pick it up. I guess he didn't fully understand that there was candy in all the eggs. He only wanted the blue ones. Such a silly little man.

Eggs for Easter

My mom came over to help dye easter eggs. Kaleb was really good about being careful. He only dropped the egg in the dye once.

Kaleb is so lucky to have such a creative dad. He made some cool easter eggs just for him. Kaleb liked them so much, he wanted to play with them.

Avree wasn't so sure about this. She wasn't getting very much attention. Poor Princess!

The Guitar

Recently Joel has pulled out his guitar that he got from some trade work a while back. He's been practicing quite a bit. Kaleb seems to really like it. He loves to try and play a tune. I thought he looked so cute, I had to snap a few pics of him.

Island Park!!

Last week we went to Island Park Idaho. It was so much fun. We stayed in a big cabin with Joel's family and went snowmobiling. It was my first time driving a snowmobile. I was a little nervous. But I only tipped it over once. I'm definately not as fast as Joel and the guys, but I go fast enough for me. Kaleb really enjoyed the rides. He would always fall asleep on them. Here are some pics of me and the fam!

Tag, I'm it!

My friend Heidi tagged me. So basically I'm suppose to just write 7 weird or random things about me that others may not know. So here goes...

1. Some people may know that I was born on Easter. Which is really funny because my husband Joel was born on Christmas and My oldest, Kaleb, was due on Halloween. We thought we were going to have a bunch of holiday kids. But Kaleb came a week early. Thankfully, Easter is always changing. Poor Joel, his always stays the same.

2. I am the youngest of 5 kids. I was the second to get married, but the first to have children. I have two beautiful kids, Kaleb and Avree. My brother married a girl with 3 kids, so now we have some cousins. They are so much fun.

3. I've only broken one bone in my body. It was my wrist. I broke it by swinging on the swing and falling and trying to catch myself. Which didn't work so well. I was 8 years old. My parents took me to Alta View hospital. About an hour after I left the hospital there was a man who went in to the womens center there and killed a nurse I think. I can't remember but you probably can. It was all over the news and they even made a movie about it. The guys name was Worthington. Strange enough, years later I met and became friends with his nephew. Small world.

4. I am a game girl. I love to play card games and dominoes. I'm also a puzzler. I love to do puzzles when I have some spare time. I haven't done one in a long time since I have a 3 year old that likes to help, but doesn't. I really look forward to when my kids are old enough that I can actually play a real game with them. Not that I don't enjoy playing turtles and Diego.

5. I really enjoy being outdoors. Anytime I can go for a walk or to the park with my kids, I do. We are really looking forward to some warm weather. I enjoy snowboarding, snowmobiling, boating, trying to wakeboard, and just relaxing in the sun. I'm well overdue for a nice sunny vacation on the beach. Hint Hint Joel!!

6. I've been a dancer since I was about 4. I took ballet until I was 15 and jazz for 1 year before I made the drill team at Bingham High School. I really enjoyed it. When I started in 98 the team was not known for being the best. They had new coaches that year and we completely turned the team around. By my Senior year, we had taken Region, which Bingham had never done. Since then I think the team took state 3 years in a row. What a fun and challenging experience. But I loved every moment of it. About two years ago I took and adult ballet class. It was so much fun. I then got pregnant with Avree, but I'm wanting to take more classes if possible.

7. I'm really not that interesting of a person. Some things I love to do is girls night out. I try to go about once a month with some girl friends to dinner and movie. That's my time to catch up on all the chick flicks I miss. I also enjoy reading when I can. Recently I finished Harry Potter 6 and am listening to the 7th book. I've also wanted to read the Twilight series. I've heard so much about it. So if anyone has it, I'd love to borrow it.

That's about all. I hope you enjoyed getting to know me a little more. So now I have to tag 7 more people, so check your comments to see if you are it.
