Island Park 2011

We went on our traditional Island Park trip in March. There was so much snow, it was insane. We couldn't even get in the driveway of the cabin without getting stuck. It was great snowmobiling though. We shared a cabin with some of Joel's siblings and parents. It was fun to just play and relax (for me) while the kids went on snowmobile rides. The kids loved playing in the deep snow and even built a snow cave with Joel and Uncle Ty. We look forward to this trip each year to spend time with family. Thanks Pilcher fam for a great trip.

Look how deep that snow is. You should see the roof.

Avree loves to ride.

Didn't want to take off the helmet for this. You never know how it will look underneath.

Our Favorite Uncle is Back...

So back in February, Joel's youngest brother returned home from his mission. He served in Milan, Italy. I know, poor guy right? We were so excited for him to come home. We had a count down chart, which was mostly updated by me. We were so excited to see him at the airport even though it was late for the kids. Here are some pics of his 1st day back to the U.S. Welcome back Uncle Ty. We are so proud of you and glad you are back home to play with us.

Nieces anxiously waiting.

The 1st look at Ty.

Meeting Tayler for the 1st time. They've adapted very well.

Hugging Mom after 2 years. Tear!

Valentines and pizza

Yes, I know Valentines was 2 months ago. I've been slacking on updating our blog. So I will start with Valentines. Joel and I had a date night the Saturday before Valentines. So on Valentines I thought it would be fun to make our own pizzas. We made the dough from scratch and made special shapes. Kaleb of course didn't want a heart, so Joel helped him make a Batman crust. Avree made a heart, and Joel and I had a heart to. The kids had a lot of fun making their own pizzas. I think Joel had fun throwing the dough in the air and singing "when the moon meets your eye" (not sure how the rest goes). Is that song in your head too? I received a beautiful flower arrangement from Joel. The kids and I cut out hearts with reasons of why we love Dad and hung them up in our bedroom, and spread cinnamon lips all over the bed. They loved doing that. It's so fun to involve the kids. I'm so thankful to spend such a loving holiday with my family. They mean so much to me and I truly love them so much.
