So normally when the kids dress up, Kaleb is a super hero and Avree is a princess. Well this time was different. I'm guessing Kaleb is a king. It was pretty funny to see him in Avree's dress up clothes. He even put on the gold slippers. Very becoming!!

An odd dress up at our house...
Catching up!!
Turning 30!
As many of you know, Joel is a Christmas baby. So we celebrated with his family on Christmas with some sweet rolls and Joel unfortunately didn't get to eat any cuz we were short on time. But I think I made up for that. I really wanted to do something special for his 3oth. So I arranged to have a surprise party at my friends house the day after Christmas with some friends of ours. Joel was completely shocked. He thought we were going to an after Christmas party, but it was all for him. We had lots of yummy food and played games. He's not one that likes to be in the spot light, but I had fun.

Joel's dad built him a gun case to go under the bed. The kids thought it was a fun place to hide.

Isn't that sign awesome. Thanks Linds for going above and beyond!!

Christmas
So this year we woke up to oohs and aahs coming from the family room. Kaleb had woken up eager to open his christmas presents and didn't bother to let us know. We walked out finding him in a pile of wrapping paper and all of his presents. Literally, he opened every single one of his presents without us. I have to admit I was pretty upset at first, but quickly got over it and had him show us what he got. He really didn't get why we were upset. Hopefully next year he'll remember.
We each got helmets for snowmobiling/4 wheeling
Our little princess fairy

What Santa brought him, i think
Kaleb the Artist
Apparently we weren't watching our kids closely enough one Sunday afternoon. Kaleb decided that Avree just wasn't pretty enough and needed some color. She looked like Frankenstein. I couldn't believe everywhere he had colored on her. He's such an artist.

Halloween
For Halloween I cleaned out all the pumpkins cuz no one else likes to touch the guts inside but me. I find it very therapeutic. Joel is the carver. He helped Kaleb carve swampfire from the Ben 10 Alien force show. It turned out pretty cool. We went trick or treating at the trunk or treat and met up with some neighbor friends. We took them to a few houses after and came back home and watched some cartoon halloween shows. Kaleb dressed up as a star wars clone trooper and Avree was of course, a princess.

Too long!
Wow has it really been since October that I posted something. I guess that's when I was not feeling good. In case you don't know, we are expecting our 3rd. The baby will be due in July. We find out in a few weeks what it is. We are super excited. I'm feeling much better now, but still tired. Not a lot has changed. Kaleb is still in preschool and can't wait to go to kindergarten next year. Avree is growing up too fast and will be going to preschool next fall. Joel is working hard and still is going strong with Global. Check out their website at globaloutdoorgear.com.
It's a hunting apparel line that he and our neighbor have put together. So far they have their shirts in Sportsmans warehouse. Woohoo!! We are really hoping to see more progress in the next few months. So spread the word.
I'm hoping to post some more recent pics of what we've been up to. So until next time...
