7 Years and 2 kids later....

Today is our 7 year anniversary. We celebrated last night by going to a movie and to the Melting Pot for dinner. It was so delicious. Grandparents took the kids for the night, so it was very relaxing. It's amazing how fast time goes by. It doesn't seem like it has been that long ago that we got married. Our family has changed a lot. 2 kids, a home, Joels own business, me not working!!!
It's been wonderful. I'm so grateful for Joel. I remember my mom telling me not to let him get away because you don't always find wonderful guys like him. She also said my life would be an adventure if I married him. It sure has! I love him so much. He is such a wonderful father to our 2 kids. They both adore him.(as do I) He works so hard. I'm so lucky to have him as my eternal companion. Thank you honey for the past 7 years. I look forward to the next 50! I hope you are too. :)

Babysitter or Entertainer?

On Friday, Joel and I went out on a date and had his brother Ty babysit the kids for us. When we got home, Ty had to show us all the fun that they had. Here are some pics of what they did...

Their Favorite Uncle!

Super Heroes: Batman and Batgirl

I have no idea what this face is...

Nice hat!

Thanks Ty for entertaining for us. The kids loved it. Are you available for parties? LOL

1st Day of Pre-School

Today was Kaleb's 1st day of preschool. He was so excited. I had to go with him the whole time today, but I think he will do great. He loved coloring and making a hat. His friend Brooklyn is in his class so that helps too. It's crazy how fast they grow up. Avree just started Nursery last Sunday. She seems so little to be in there. I really need to enjoy the time I have with them. Here are some pics of Kaleb before school and after.

My finger sucker!

Many of you know that Avree has this thing about sucking her fingers and sniffing her blanket at the same time. It is so funny and precious. Whenever she feels like she needs to do so, she goes into her room and pulls just enough of her blanket out of her crib and stands there and does her thing. I will walk by her room and just hear her sucking sound. It's so hilarious. I had to take a picture of her doing this.

Caught red handed!!

Sept. 11th 2008

So I decided to take the kids to see the flags in Sandy in honor of 9/11. I have to say that it was a beautiful sight to see all those American flags blowing in the breeze. I've never seen so many flags before. The kids loved them too. They both kept walking through the flags trying to catch them as they blew in the wind. I had to remind Kaleb not to touch them because they are very special to us. Joel's mom and brother Ty went with us. I would recommend taking your kids to see this each year to remind them how blessed we are to live in such a beautiful country and to remember the freedoms we have here.
