Sept. 11th 2008

So I decided to take the kids to see the flags in Sandy in honor of 9/11. I have to say that it was a beautiful sight to see all those American flags blowing in the breeze. I've never seen so many flags before. The kids loved them too. They both kept walking through the flags trying to catch them as they blew in the wind. I had to remind Kaleb not to touch them because they are very special to us. Joel's mom and brother Ty went with us. I would recommend taking your kids to see this each year to remind them how blessed we are to live in such a beautiful country and to remember the freedoms we have here.

I love the tradition you started to cultivate in your little ones, especially about the part where you told Kaleb that the flags are special.
Love your finger sucker too, she is a keeper!
