I am going crazy!!

Okay, so I just have to vent a little bit. As many of you know, Kaleb is a horrible eater. It has tested my patience many many MANY times. He still has good and bad days. Now my sweet little Avree has decided to follow her brothers path. I was really hoping this wouldn't happen because she's been such an awesome eater. It seems lately she has changed her mind. I don't know if it's because of her new adventure of walking or if it's just one of those fun phases we so luckily get to go through. HELP! If anyone has some good advice about picky eaters, please feel free to comment. I could really use some help on this. Ready.. set... Go!

Okay, so I know this will sound harsh, but this is what I do with my kids because they are picky & never eat dinner when I want them to & then complain they are hungry & want snacks like 20 min. later. So, at a meal, I set the timer for 15-20 min. If after the timer has gone off their food isn't all gone, they don't get any snacks or other food unless its gone by the time the timer goes off. End of story & it has worked like a charm. After the 1st couple times they'd not eat, they learned REAL quick that if they didn't eat, they'd be starving. So now we have no arguments or fights over eating! Good luck!

Tamara cute blog! Sammi is pretty picky too. Especially dinner. So lately I have been trying to keep whatever I serve her if she doesn't eat and when she says I am hungry, I say then here is your dinner. She usually won't eat it and she gets nothing else then wake up starving and eat like crazy. But eventually she will eat some of what we have. Brock is a great example too. So that does help. It could be a phase too. If she refuses everything she might be ok and then wait a week or so and she will eat like crazy.Hope that helps this mom job is tough huh??? Good Luck

Hopefully Avree is just going through a phase. I don't really have any good hints or tips for picky eaters. but good luck and hang in there because I hate it when the girls dont eat well.

I feel your pain! All three of mine are picky and I feel like we are wasting a ton of food all the time! I love the advice above. I'm going to have to keep checking back to see what else pops up cause I need help too!

You poor girl. You've seen Drew eat, so I won't pretend to be an expert on picky eaters. He has gone through little phases, though, and I simply put his uneaten dinner in the fridge and when he asks for food that's what he gets. Good luck! We can't wait to see you guys!

By all means, best of luck to you. My son would be happy to eat cookies and chips all day if I let him. I love the advice at the top! Wouldn't it be great if all kids liked to eat were veggies and fruit?! Anyhoo, I love the pictures of your children. They are getting so big. Congrats on Avree walking.
