So I decided to take the kids to see the flags in Sandy in honor of 9/11. I have to say that it was a beautiful sight to see all those American flags blowing in the breeze. I've never seen so many flags before. The kids loved them too. They both kept walking through the flags trying to catch them as they blew in the wind. I had to remind Kaleb not to touch them because they are very special to us. Joel's mom and brother Ty went with us. I would recommend taking your kids to see this each year to remind them how blessed we are to live in such a beautiful country and to remember the freedoms we have here.
Okay, so I just have to vent a little bit. As many of you know, Kaleb is a horrible eater. It has tested my patience many many MANY times. He still has good and bad days. Now my sweet little Avree has decided to follow her brothers path. I was really hoping this wouldn't happen because she's been such an awesome eater. It seems lately she has changed her mind. I don't know if it's because of her new adventure of walking or if it's just one of those fun phases we so luckily get to go through. HELP! If anyone has some good advice about picky eaters, please feel free to comment. I could really use some help on this. Ready.. set... Go!
My little girl has finally decided to let go and walk on her own. Just this week she has decided to stand up on her own and take a few steps. She is walking all over now, but still occasionally crawls. But it's progress. It's funny to have two little ones walking around now. Even though really she should have been walking like 4 or 5 months ago. Oh well, it's been nice. But Hooray for Avree. Keep it up!
I have some video of her walking too, but haven't figured out yet how to post it. I'm workin' on it.
